Memorials After Cremation

Mansfield Crematorium offer a variety of memorials for your loved one;

Book of Remembrance

The book of remembrance, a simple yet long lasting memorial. This memorial is a one off charge and will last indefinitely.

Books are placed within our book of remembrance room, this is located near the exit to Thoresby Chapel. The books are laid in a glass cabinet and pages of the book are turned daily to ensure the record appears on the anniversary.

Mansfield Crematorium have 3 volumes;

  • January - April
  • May - August
  • September - December

Our books are sent to a skilled craftsman, who will inscribes each entry by hand.

Digital Book of Remembrance

Located inside the book of remembrance room, is a digital on-screen memorial. The memorial allows you to see entries from the physical book of remembrance on screen. 

We also offer an access card, which is swiped along the machine. This card can be personalised to your loved one - with the option of adding photos to your digital inscription. Fees apply.


Bronze Kerb Memorial

Bronze kerb plaque, is a casting that is bespoke for your loved one. These memorials are fixed to a natural stone, located around our pond area. Each stone holds up to 18 plaques. 

Each plaque is on a 5 year lease, which is renewable at the end of that period. There is no limit to the number of renewals.

Vase Block Memorial

Vase blocks are small stone blocks, that have a flower holder placed on the top.

Our vase blocks are located on the edge of the car park and is on a 10 year lease - which is renewable at the end of that period. There is no limit to the number of renewals.

As part of the lease, the lease holder will have a personalised granite tablet - that sits on the front of the stone

Living Memorial

Living memorials are trees, shrubs or standard roses which are located within the garden of remembrance.

Shurbs and roses are a 5 year lease and trees are a 10 year lease, both of which are renewable at the end of their period. There is no limit to the number of renewals.

As part of the lease, the lease holder will have a personalised perspex plaque - that sits in front of the memorial.

Memorial Leaf

Mansfield Crematorium has a memorial tree, which is located in front of the main building 

Memorial leaf's can be purchased and placed onto the memorial tree. The leaf is inscribed on both sides and the placed onto the memorial tree

Each leaf placement is a 5 year lease, which is renewable at the end of that period. There is no limit to the number of renewals

Baby/Infant Memorial 

Mansfield Crematorium have a number or memorials after the loss of child. 

Should you require more information, please make contact with the office. Where one of the team will be able to advise you further and send a memorial pack to you directly. 


Bulb remembrance scheme

The Bulb Scheme allows bereaved families, friends and members of the public, to make donations towards Spring and Autumn flowering bulbs - these bulbs are then planted around the garden of remembrance. 

If you would like to make a donation, however big or small, please contact the office - where one of the team will be able to process the payment over the phone. 


Floral tributes

We encourage families to bring floral tributes to the crematorium in remembrance of their loved ones. We politely ask for all plastic packaging to be removed prior to being left on the crematorium. 

Please note; all flowers will be removed on the grounds by 10am every Wednesday - with the exception of Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas.
