About us

Mansfield Crematorium is a 2 chapel establishment in a woodland setting on the outskirts of Mansfield. We carry out funerals on behalf of Ashfield District Council and Mansfield District Council.

We are a small dedicated friendly team with extensive experience and are here to work with bereaved families to ensure that they have access to the information they require, whether that be advising on music, memorials, funeral content or anything else related to bereavement.

Our facilities and grounds

With beautiful tranquil mature Gardens of Remembrance which are carefully laid out with mature trees and memorial shrubs and woodlands providing a peaceful resting place for those who wish to leave their loved ones cremated remains with us.

Our 2 chapels offer space for small intimate services or larger gatherings, both equipped with bespoke organs that augment any singing and a modern, highly sophisticated sound system which provides the opportunity of enhancing funerals with music that holds special significance to the bereaved. The chapels also have the ability of being linked by video link for the exceptionally large congregation giving the possibility of carrying out funeral services to in excess of 500 mourners, in normal times although pandemic restrictions currently apply.

Mansfield Crematorium is owned by Ashfield District Council, Mansfield District Council and Newark and Sherwood District Council. Our aim has always been to work in the interests of the residents by providing a first class bereavement service. We have achieved the Gold Standard of the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management's Charter for the Bereaved whilst still maintaining a quality and personal service at a reasonable cost.
